Gettysburg

Gettysburg was really cool. It was great weather, Teä had a great time (that may have to do more with the fact that she had previously been locked in the car for four hours the day before and was finally able to walk around outside freely for the first time but oh well). It is an amazing place and a definite go see.

She found someone she knew!
Isn't her bum cute??? (P.S. the girl in the background Dad kept yelling at her to stand a certain way, or go closer to the wall and then he yelled at his wife that they were on a schedule and he didn't have time for her questions because of the schedule...uptight jerk if you ask me).

This is our hotel. We stayed at the Wyndham for really really cheap. Our trick is to not look for a place to stay until the night or a couple nights before. We have found amazing deals that way. Also, if a really nice hotel is under contruction in some way, it is also a cheap way to go. That's how we stayed at the Doubletree in NYC for so cheap and the room was brand new and gorgeous. And for those traveling with children, we have asked all the hotels we have stayed at if they had a crib and all so far, they all have and for no extra charge. That is another great tip of mine. Anyway, we stayed on the top floor, it was huge, brand new, and beautiful. The lobby was marble and made to look like the White House or something fancy like that. Unfortunately it was bikers week and the vendors were just outside our hotel at this little park area. However, we did get to see the Budweiser horses. The last pic is of a ghost walk we went on. Too bad we didn't see any ghosts but we got some great stories.

I'm so jealous that you're within driving distance to all of these places! We're planning a trip back to D.C. in the next year and when we come...you better be ready for company :)
