Ice storm
New York along with the rest of the Northeast got pounded with a severe ice storm, but we came out of it fairly lucky. Our neighborhood was pretty much the only neighborhood in the southern end of Saratoga County to retain power and no damage to our house. Clifton Park ended up declaring a state of emergency but unfortunately Jessica had work and I had a final at SUNY so we had to drive around trees and over power lines to get to Albany, it was almost like trying to get into East Germany which probably isn't far off from Albany.

That looks so pretty, but sounds so scary! I am glad that you guys are okay and that you were one of the few lucky ones to still have power!
I'm happy that you guys are okay too and kept power & heat! Brr! The pictures are amazing!
Those pictures look so awesome. I almost wish we had an ice storm so I could go out and take cool photos. Almost.
The last one I was in (when I was pregnant with Eli and visiting my family) left almost an inch of ice on the plants and several inches on the roads. It was so freaky and Oregon shut down for about a week.
I'm so happy you guys still have your power. But still. . .I'm really jealous of the photo opportunities. I'm weird like that.
It makes for beautiful pictures, but very scary driving, etc., been there, done that!!
Yowza. My SIL posted similar pictures on her blog, she's in the Boston area. We're in Hurricane now and it has been snowy since Saturday, crazy weather.
The pictures are awesome! I'm glad you have power but I seriously don't know how you got to work/school. I won't even drive if there's a little bit of snow.
Oh man, I've been there! Winter of 2002 in Kansas City...I have very similar pictures! Keep warm. We miss you guys!!!
