Booboo's, cuts, burns....

Teä has had a horrible week for accidents. And we as parents have had a horrible week for watching her get hurt. On Wednesday, Teä was in the kitchen with Greg when he opened the oven to pull out a cake and Teä, being the curious little girl, put her hands on the oven rack. Thank goodness Greg reacted quickly and her hands were only on there for .2 seconds. Still she fell to the floor, crying the most heartbreaking cry I have ever heard. I ran to her and immediately put her hands under running water but she kept pulling them out and putting them to her mouth trying to find relief. I quickly remember that my Mom has a great trick that seems to help kids recover quickly, frozen peas. I run to the freezer, and start handing her peas. She fell in love with frozen peas. It calmed her down and cooled her burn down at the same time.

Then this morning, she put her fingers in the moving fan. Luckily she didn't get cut, but it hurt nonetheless. And to top it all off, while at the battlefield, she was walking through the woods and fell on a stick and cut her chin. How horrible can it get?!? Dad, don't call DCFS! Her chin looks bad in these pictures because it was bleeding but once we cleaned it up, you can hardly tell. Poor girl. I hope this is the end for a while. None of us can take much more.
