Birthday party
Teä was invited to her first non-family birthday party a couple weeks ago. It was for a little boy, Aidan, who was turning one. (Aidan's Mom and I work together.) A few people from work came with their kids and Teä had so much fun playing with them and of course eating. Although it was Aidan's birthday, I felt like it was a mutual party for all the kids because Sylvia, his Mom, went all out on the party. They had it at a buffet so we all got to eat a ton, and they had a delicious cake, and they gave all the kids a goody bag that included more than our present to Aidan. I couldn't believe it. Sylvia and Aidan, were so sweet to think of us and invite us and then give Teä so many wonderful toys. We had a blast and Aidan is the cutest thing ever.

How cute! It think that goody bag is so cute & makes kids excited when it is someone elses party. I remember hating birthday parties growing up because it was always a competition to see who gave the birthday girl/boy the best present & the whole day was centered around them. My goal is to have a big family birthday party where Polly can get all the attention & then if we have a party for friends, make sure it is fun for everyone...although I might not go as "all out" as Sylvia! She sounds awesome!
